It’s Now Possible to Run Android Apps on the iPad

Have you ever dreamt of trying to run Android OS on Apple products such as an iPad or iPhone? Well for all of those who have tried and also for those who only wondered, today I would like to break news by revealing that Android OS can now run on Apple electronic gadgets. A mind-blowing concept landed just recently, as, according to reports, it’s now quite possible to run Android apps on your iPad 2 by virtue of a new bit of software called Alien Dalvik 2.0. Soon it will be possible to run Android OS on your iPad or iPhone 4 with the help of Open iBoot which is an alternative to Apple’s iBoot. Although how many Apple users will rush and flock to the Android Marketplace as a result remains to be seen, the idea is still unnerving enough in its own right.

For all of those who are not much familiar with Alien Dalvik 2.0, it is to educate you that, it is a set to bring Android apps not only to iPad, but also to a variety of other non-Android devices like tablets, televisions and even cars with displays that allow for the running of apps. What Alien Dalvik 2.0 does is, essentially, take an Android app and contain said application inside its own virtual machine, which in turn allows it to interface with a variety of other systems, like those listed previously. This in turn opens up an array of new possibilities, including playing Angry Birds on big high-definition television screens. But it’s exactly this opening of new possibilities that has some rather concerned.

After all, for more than a few people, the decision of whether to buy an iPhone or an Android device is made by what apps the device has encased therein. After all, more apps increase the likelihood for more value by making more potential solutions available. Meanwhile, the idea of individual app stores and their attendant marketing styles also comes into question. Currently many app developers develop versions for iOS, or for Android, or even one for each. But if Android apps work on iOS devices and if the converse also becomes true, then there won’t be much of a need to develop separate versions. Word is that Alien Dalvik 2.0 will get a demonstration proper out at CTIA next week, so there will likely be more to the story from there.

A question arises about prediction her. Is Alien Dalvik 2.0 going to be a major shakeup and flagship to the mobile computing industry as we know it? Or will market forces keep this one relatively quiet? Well for this we have to wait patiently for what comes next in the line. Till then we hope for the BEST.
