If you have planned to get a new high end Android smartphone this year, then there is a 100% chance that you are waiting for the release of Samsung Galaxy S III. As you already know that Galaxy S III has become the most anticipated Android smartphone of this year. Well, all the credit goes to Galaxy S II, because of its high popularity, people are really excited about its successor as well.
That’s not it, a couple of days ago we posted the full detailed specs of Samsung Galaxy S III and it seems like a great new handset featuring 1080p full HD visuals, a 1.5GHz quad core processor and a ceramic encasing.
Previously, it has been reported that some South African network carriers confirmed the release date of the smartphone to fall in Q3 this year, while another earlier rumor also stated that Galaxy S III might be coming in April this year. Now, today we have received some fresh reports which also confirm that the device might be coming in April. The report comes from ZDNet Korea which claims that Samsung’s marketing and advertising agency has confirmed the time frame of the release of Galaxy S III.
The report further stated that Samsung is interested very much in making London as a key initial area to launch and market the new handset. This might have something to do with the Olympic Games which are being held in London in the summer.
On the other hand, Samsung Electronics Public Relations officials have refused to confirm or deny the launch date but this report can be true because it seems like Apple is planning to launch the next iPhone at WWDC’12 and Samsung may want to make a good early impression on consumers. Obviously, it makes sense because with the early launch Samsung will be able to poach some Apple consumers as well who are too impatient to wait for the next iPhone release.
Reports are suggesting that Android Jelly Bean 5.0 might get released in Fall this year, but the Galaxy S III will be coming with Ice Cream Sandwich of course.
