Is Siri going to work on your iPhone 4? Ok then you will be pleased to know that there is good news for you that this amazing voice feature and voice command technology has now been ported in iPhone 4.

Siri for Phone 4

This good news has been received from 9to5Mac through a post where it was said that it is going to work even on iPhone 4. And this thing has been made possible by an iOS developer named as Steven Toughton Smith who has worked a lot with 9to5Mac. We were very much pleased about knowing this news but soon were disappointed by it because it still needs some more work and we hope so that it will be done soon. The thing which should be improved is its performance and that its voice files are not sent to its servers for being processed. The developer cannot be blamed for it but still we have talked about it a lot.

9to5Mac has said that Steven Troughton-Smith was working very hard with 9o5Mac to port Siri from iPhone 4S to iPhone 4. He was able to get the start by installing some files from 4S to 4 which seemed to be a bit sluggish and needed a lot more improvement.

Troughton Smith has somehow managed to have Siri port by installing it from iPhone 4S to iPhone 4. But its performance was not good enough. Maybe the reason is how Siri requires a GPU within iPhone 4 which was not there in iPhone 4S.

The community of jailbreaking is working very hard to have Siri on iPhone 4 and it has already been discussed that when the developer iH8sn0w said that it is not an easy task to port Siri on iPhone 4 because Siri have some hardware requirements which should be fulfilled to have it on iPhone 4 which at the moment are not there in iPhone 4. The developer of JailBreakme.com, MuscleNerd, has said that it cannot be done without piracy which may not be same as that of Siri that will soon be introduced by 9to5Mac in iPhone 4.

In this provided video the performance of Siri seemed to be terribly sluggish. And the second one shows the improved performance after the work of Troughton-Smith which was to get GPU working.
